4 out of 10 students leave school with a purpose in life, this can change with intentional guidance, our team does weekly programs with a target of guiding these teenagers to make informed decisions as we partner with their teachers.
60% of girls that drop out schools are pregnant due to decisions that can be avoided, this has increased Teenage mothers who can barely look after their children, 50% of these are due to lack of monthly sanitary pads, we have made this a priority to partner with schools to register the number of girls, we gather resources to avail this essential need to every girl, on average, there are over 30,000 girls in need of this.
Only 1 out of 5 children that start school go through till university, what could be the hindrances? Most is resources constraints, from school fees to books, pens and other requirements. Our average rural-urban schools charge a sum of close to Ugx400,000 (Usd108) per academic term, till when Kunda school is built, thus giving teachers a monthly pay while students access education freely, that is in our dream.
